Q&A with Hilary Pearlson

I’ve had the pleasure to sit down and talk with the amazing Hilary Pearlson: founder of the lifestyle blog The Dreamerie and host of the ‘Heal with Hilary’ podcast. Hilary Pealson is a gem, her story is one of a kind. She spreads grace & light in everything that she does. Hilary has gathered all the tools that she has learned along the way to create a 8-week online course: Inner Alchemy: The Journey Of Becoming Your Own Healer. I’m so excited to be a part of this group, and discover all the incredible tools to help me on my healing journey. Check out our interview below!

Hi Hilary and Welcome to LIFT ME UP. You’re a healing coach, Akashic Records reader, Kundalini Meditation guide, and owner of the lifestyle platform The Dreamerie. Could you please tell us a bit more about your story?

Thank you so much for having me! I was inspired to do the work I am doing now and to create The Dreamerie because of my health journey. I have lived with chronic illness all my life, and have seen more than my fair share inside doctor’s offices and hospitals. In 2007 I was diagnosed with celiac disease, and in 2011, while living in NYC and attending school at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I began to feel very sick. Within 3 months I moved back to Florida with my family and was undergoing chemotherapy before receiving a bone marrow transplant that would save my life.

I wrote about this journey on my blog, How a bone marrow transplant was the best thing that ever happened to me.

It was at this time I connected to a dream I had long let go of, to start a blog and share the many topics I am passionate about, find my community and continue to immerse myself deeply in understanding how to heal myself on every level. I started my first blog in early 2013 and have been sharing, writing, and connecting ever since.

Looking back, would you say that your health challenges helped you reconnect with your authentic self, your life purpose?

An infinite yes. Before I got sick I was living a life that was completely out of alignment with my authentic self. I always say my health challenges were a way for the Universe to wake me up and guide me to my purpose in this lifetime – to understand how to heal myself so that I can empower others to be their own healer.

For those reading this that are struggling with their health: How can we take back our own power and become our own healer?

The journey looks different for everyone but an empowering first step to becoming your own healer is to find the tools that feel supportive to you and then commit to doing them daily. Whether that is meditation, journaling, breathwork, baths, walks in nature, whatever feels most empowering to you. By committing to a practice, you are creating the space to connect with yourself each day. We all have the answers we are searching for within, creating space allows you to hear the inner voice that is guiding you on a moment-to-moment basis.

Also important to note is seeking support and being really conscious of those that you allow in your inner circle. No one is meant to be on this journey alone and it is important that those you share your journey with support you, empower you, and remind you of your strength.

Speaking of becoming our own healer, you’re launching an online program called ‘Inner Alchemy’ in January 2020. Could you please tell us a bit more about this program and what we can expect?

Yes! Inner Alchemy is an 8-week online course I created to support and empower you on the journey of becoming your own healer.

This is the course I wish I had when I began my healing journey 10+ years ago. It is a safe space to connect with others on a similar journey, understand yourself more deeply, explore powerful modalities from Kundalini to journaling, the Akashic Records and more, and to not only create the vision for your life but to take empowered action towards that vision.

I held nothing back when creating this course and filled it with everything I have learned on my journey. I am really proud of it and grateful to share this work with so many incredible souls.

Our mantra at LIFT ME UP is to ‘share the lessons learned along the way to plant seeds of hope in the hearts of others’. What life lessons would you like to share with our readers?

This mantra is beautiful and one I live by as well.

There have been many life lessons that I have taken with me but one that stands out through my healing journey is to go at my own pace. In a world that uses busyness as a badge of honor, nothing feels better to me than moving at my own pace and trusting that all will unfold as it is meant to.
