I know it can feel so frustrating. You’re so hard on yourself, remembering all the times you’ve struggled. Yet, each of those moments is here to show you something. With each step forward you take, each time you summon up the courage to keep moving forward, you’re going to help yourself and so many others.
What you’ve overcome is actually where your greatest strength lies. For me, one big piece of that puzzle was the anxiety that had been in the background most of my life. My body was on overdrive, which was then compounded when my Dad passed away a month before my wedding, and the company I was working for started rapidly shrinking. Nothing felt certain, and it turned out to be the start of a deep healing journey. I had to start calming my nervous system, releasing emotions, and connecting with my soul.
When I took a look at my anxiety, I started to realize it was here to show me something. The fact that my anxiety would spike at my corporate job… I realized that might be a sign I was at a job that wasn’t meant for me long-term.
The constant worrying… might be a sign that I was afraid of letting go, and was resisting something that the Universe wanted me to do. The constant pushing towards the next goal, without feeling true joy when I hit them… that was my cue that I’d been so focused on succeeding my whole life, and wasn’t giving myself time to think about what I actually wanted.
Under that anxiety, my soul was speaking. Once I realized that, it was my job to listen to my soul’s voice instead. Take a moment to breathe. Right now. Breathe deep into your abdomen, then into your upper chest, and do a full exhale that goes all the way down your spine. Do that a few more times.
Now, let me ask you. Recently, how connected have you felt to your soul? My guess is, there’s something your soul is waiting to tell you.
In the midst of deep healing and inner work I got to a place where it felt like I was channeling my soul’s mission. The only reason I can say it’s channeling is because the words that I wrote down were so different than the ones my brain would ever use to describe something. I wrote it down feeling super skeptical, but something about it felt right.
Now, it’s been over three years of running my own business, and things have evolved in so many different ways. I’ve had different offers, held retreats, presented speeches on stages, and even written a book. SO much has changed, and yet when I read back my soul’s mission statement that came through years ago it still feels deeply true, and everything I’ve created can map back to that intention.
The things you’re being called to aren’t by accident. The moments you’ve experienced aren’t random. They’re all pieces of a puzzle. Your job is to open up to what’s here. To peel back the layers. Don’t be afraid to dive in, because the world needs what’s on the other side.
